In a world where people are feeling increasingly stretched and disconnected from themselves, others, and the world around them, Abroad’s Annual Gathering offers a timely opportunity to reconnect with wisdom, nature, and community. This weekend experience includes three nights at the Modern Elder Academy’s new Santa Fe campus, with all lodging, meals, educational sessions, and excursions included.

Santa Fe blends old-world charm with modern innovation. Its historic adobe buildings and picturesque streets are complemented by a vibrant, forward-thinking atmosphere that sparks creativity. For this gathering, we will be staying at the Modern Elder Academy, a luxurious property thoughtfully designed to foster educational and community-driven experiences.

Justin Milano
Justin Milano, CEO of Abroad.io, is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive coach committed to empowering visionary founders and executives worldwide. Over the past decade, he has helped leaders operate with a deep sense of purpose and self-awareness. Through his coaching and research, Justin teaches that our external creations are a direct reflection of our inner selves— the depth of what we create mirrors the depth of who we are. At the Santa Fe gathering, Justin will serve as a bridge between timeless wisdom and practical insights, empowering you to elevate both your leadership and fulfillment.
Chief Wisdom Officer, Abroad
Dr. Dorji Wangchuk
Dr. Dorji Wangchuk is the Chief Wisdom Officer of Abroad and Chairman of the Abroad Wisdom Board. A former Press Secretary and trusted aide to the King of Bhutan, he also served as head of media and Dean of Royal Thimpu College. Dorji will join us in Santa Fe to reconnect with our Bhutan alumni and lead cross-cultural sessions alongside Native American wisdom keepers. Together, they will explore the commonalities between wisdom cultures, blending timeless teachings with modern leadership principles to inspire transformative growth.
Abroad Board Member & Former Head EX, AirBnB
Mark Levy
Mark is an Abroad board member and former Head of Employee Experience at Airbnb, where he led the transformation from Human Resources to Employee Experience, reshaping how organizations globally approach the employee journey. Under his leadership, Airbnb was named the #1 Place to Work by Glassdoor. In Santa Fe, Mark will draw on his expertise in creating transformative workplace cultures to facilitate the conditions for meaningful community connection.
Event Producer
Stacy Lambatos
Stacy Lambatos is Abroad’s Director of Events, overseeing seamless event experiences across all of Abroad’s gatherings. With experience producing events for organizations like Verizon and Google, Stacy ensures that every participant enjoys exceptional service and unforgettable experiences. Each year, she coordinates events for Abroad alumni in Bhutan, Peru, and beyond. In Santa Fe, Stacy will be on hand to ensure a smooth, impactful experience for all attendees.

Expect a minimum of 15 people and a maximum of 25 people. We keep group sizes small to build community and allow access to places normal tourists cannot visit.

Absolutely, we encourage you to bring your significant other and include them as part of the Abroad Community.

You need to arrive in Santa Fe on July 18th and leave on or after July 21st. We recommend scheduling a flight no earlier than 2 p.m. on the 21st as we will have a closing session in the morning.

You are more than welcome to arrive earlier or stay later. Our events team would be happy to support you with additional lodging and activities.

We will enjoy some easy nature walks during the experience, but nothing physically challenging.

At Abroad, we understand that life events and changes happen, and we strive to accommodate participants who need to cancel their registration. However, due to significant upfront costs and financial commitments, we adhere to the following cancellation policy:
75% refund: 90+ days prior to arrival
50% refund: 45+ days prior to arrival
No refund: Within 45 days to arrival
Our payment terms are:
50% deposit upfront to secure your spot
50% balance due 90 days before quest (April 19, 2025)
