Ida Resi Alit

For the last 11 years, Ida has served as a prominent leader of the Bangli regency of over 200,000 community members. She has worked closely with other political leaders to help manage the community and conduct large ceremonies for thousands of people. She has also welcomed thousands of visitors from around the world to her Ashram, Gryia Agung Budha Salahin, to receive one of her water purification blessings and join her in meditation or discussion. As a Wisdom Council member of Abroad, Ida will immerse leaders in the authentic wisdom of Bali while teaching the essence of selfless service.

FAQ

  • Expect a minimum of 15 people and a maximum of 25 people. We keep group sizes small to build community and allow access to places normal tourists cannot visit.

  • We are diligent to make sure this is the right experience for you at this time in your life. Due to the small size of the group, we are looking for a group of socially-minded leaders and people committed to their self-actualization to create the best possible experience. Bali is a spiritual nation and very different than traveling to Tuscany or the Caribbean. For these reasons, we want to make sure expectations are aligned and you get everything you want from the experience and more.

  • Our lead guide is Ida Resi Alit, the Balinese High Priestess. Joining Ida is Justin Milano, Founder & CEO of Abroad who has worked with thousands of leaders and founders globally, and Mark Levy, an expert on Employee Experience who will provide participants with pragmatic wisdom to apply to their leadership and organizations.

  • You need to arrive in Ubud by no later than the afternoon of April 20th for an opening dinner that evening. You can book a flight home anytime on April 27th.

    If you have a long trip to get here, we recommend to arrive a day or two early to get fully grounded before our Quest begins.

  • We can put you in contact to book additional nights pre-post the Quest if you want to enjoy Ubud or other parts of Bali.

  • A full packing list will be provided on our Bali participant dashboard after you book your Quest.

  • Fundamental to Abroad's mission is building regenerative collaborations with our indigenous partners. You will learn more about this throughout the Quest, but expect at least one experience where we give back to the communities that welcome us.

  • Most of our experiences in Bali are not physically demanding. If you can walk long distances and swim you will likely be able to enjoy all that we have to offer.

  • There is an ATM at the airport where you can get Indonesian Rupiah on arrival

  • We advise you to check with your cell phone provider to see if you can have reasonably priced international service in Bali. If you need a SIM card, you can easily obtain one at the airport.

  • Yes, travel insurance is required to travel with us in Bali, and you are also required to agree to our Terms and Conditions and release of libaility. We will provide recommendations for reasonable travel and health insurance plans, as well as plans that will cover your entire investment for the Abroad Quest should you need to cancel for unforeseen reasons.

  • Abroad will reserve massage times for the group and provide a staff contact at each hotel for you to reserve your massage upon arrival.

  • Abroad will host an intro session with our faculty and Bali guides. After the Quest, we will schedule a group integration call to help you integrate this powerful life experience.
