A global research study to help entrepreneurs and business owners better understand their mental and emotional health struggles
For the past several years, numerous online articles and research studies have highlighted the prevalent mental and emotional health challenges experienced by entrepreneurs and business owners. These articles and studies have done an excellent job bringing awareness to the crisis in the leadership wellbeing.
The purpose of our research was to go beyond the well-known facts that entrepreneurs typically experience high levels of stress, burn out, and difficulty finding the time needed to achieve business success.
Using an Awareness Assessment developed by our team of psychologists and executive coaches, our team conducted a 2-year study of more than 1,300 founders and business owners, which, to the best of our knowledge, is the largest study ever conducted on the topic.
Through our psychometric assessment and interviews with industry experts, our research identified a common pattern of subconscious mindsets and behaviors that tend to accelerate mental and emotional health challenges. This pattern of beliefs and behaviors, which we refer to as the Spiral of Entrepreneurial Suffering, is as challenging for entrepreneurs to manage as the business fundamentals of their venture.
Our team also ran a 3-month intervention to determine whether it is possible to break the cycles of self-imposed pain that we identified. The results were better than expected.
Below are a handful of key insights from our research and intervention, and we invite you to enter your name and e-mail to download the full report and audios to listen to the findings on the go.
Now, more than ever, with COVID-19 disrupting our global economy, entrepreneurs and business owners can benefit from greater self understanding to navigate these turbulent times. We thank you in advance for sharing this study with whomever can benefit.
